Rhyll Trout Farm

A Friend had told us of the Trout Farm in Rhyll, we were both excited as we had wanted to take Josh to a trout farm for yrs as he has always wanted to go fishing.

As neither of us are fisherman a trout farm was the perfect place to take Josh 'fishing'.

Rylee also loved it and would have sat and waited for the fish for hours but Josh on the other hand was not blessed with patience so he was a little more difficult.

Josh with his first fish after we found the indoor pool. The indoor pool was MUCH easier to catch fish in you could see them swimming and it really only took 5 minutes to catch one - a time frame that was still to much for poor Josh to bare.

Josh checking out if the fish has teeth 'grin'

Rylee hamming it up - ever the family clown.

Josh and Ry both so proud of their haul.

Coops the only thing he caught were some rays the weather was gorgeous.

An almost clean plate after our fish was cleaned and cooked for us - we couldn't believe it josh ate almost a whole fish. He even left some chips on his plate. We were suprised as Josh would let chips be his staple diet if i let him but he much preferred the fish !! Amazing - is that all it takes let him catch his own lunch.

Coops had a ball but was soooo tired by the end of the day it was such a huge weekend for him.

A FANTASTIC DAY - the kids thought it was their best day ever and i really couldn't argue with them it was GREAT !!!! well worth the last minute holiday plans i had to deal with 'grin'

You've been keeping your blog up very well Mette. Sounds like you have heaps to fill it with. Go girl.

No i wasn't posting at 3.33am not sure what was going on there ?? Maybe my clock is wrong ??

LOL yes i agree everything Mitchell does i seem to go ahhh over. Mitchell loves all the things we love to do as do you and Gary i assume LOL.

Have to say though Jen it was an EXPENSIVE day out we didn't realise how dear it would be i was a bit shocked. It costs about $6 each to get in about $3 each for rods - of course only got the 2. Then the fish at the moment is roughly $9 each depending on size - don't go when they are really big LMAO.

then we paid to get it gutted $3 i think and cooked with chips about $11? by the time we finished it was $93 for the 5 of us !!!! There are fewer of you so cheaper and next time ill get them to gut it etc and we will bbq it on their premises as that seems like fun too and cheaper. They give you it all back in foil etc with garlic butter etc sounds yummy.

Anyway yup expensive but for the value the kids had well worth every cent and much better than some amusement park!!!
